LAMB
The Lavaca Area Ministry Body, Inc (LAMB) is a 501c3 collaborative ministry of participating churches in Lavaca County. The ministry includes the Manna Food Pantry, a Thrift Store and the Financial Assistance Ministry providing care for area residents in need.
We support this ministry through our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness.
THIRD WEDNESDAY NURSING HOME MINISTRY
Each 3rd Sunday volunteers from the congregation go first to Hallettsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center to share in a time of singing hymns, sharing Holy Communion, and prayer.
ST. NICHOLAS MINISTRY
St. Nicholas Ministry is an ecumenical Christmas outreach program that provides food, new toys/gifts, blankets, or quilts and other items for children, the elderly and families in need. Financial gifts from individuals, businesses, churches, and organizations, along with persons who are willing to volunteer their time and energy are needed. Information gathering for those in need begins in October of each year.
COMMUNITY-WIDE MINISTERIAL ALLIANCE EVENTS
This congregation actively participates in community-wide ecumenical events sponsored by the Hallettsville Ministerial Alliance:
- EASTER WEEK SERVICE-
The ecumenical Easter Week service is held at 3pm on Palm Sunday each year with a different congregation as host each time. - BLESSING OF THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR-
This ecumenical service is held on the first Wednesday of September at 7pm at the Brahma Stadium. All area pastors are invited to participate. Students from all public schools, parochial schools, and home schoolers are invited to attend, along with family, friends, all school employees, and officials. - COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE
This ecumenical service is held at 7pm on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving each year. Different congregations volunteer to host the event each year. - WORLD DAY OF PRAYER – the first Friday in March of each year.
- NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER – the first Thursday in May of each year.
